Simply put, don't overthink this style. "The goal is to look like you just got out of the pool and your hair is getting whipped around by the wind," says hairstylist Tommy Buckett. His technique: Spritz a salt spray on wet hair, apply mousse only at the roots, then diffuse or air-dry. Use a curling iron to polish up a few random pieces, but don't go crazy with it. "The messier, the better," says Buckett. He recommends Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray
